Bucket List for Africa

Lion's Head Full Moon Hike: Definitely do it! If you can't do it on a full moon hike do it on a weekend. It is better than gym and the view is amazing. School clubs have regular trips to this hike. Keep in mind that the top is windy.

Table Mountain Hike: Don't come back without going up to Table Mountain. If you are feeling sporty you can hike up, remember it will take at least 2 hours but you will feel proud after you are done. Keep in mind that the cable car is half prices after 18.00, nice date idea for sunsets. Sunset is also great from Signal Hill.

High Tea at the Mount Nelson Hotel: This one might be a little expensive for student budget but it totally worth it. You get 20 different types of tea around the world, delicious little savory cakes and open buffet of desserts. All is unlimited. You need to book before you go.

Shark Cage Diving: If you are brave enough you can do cage diving with sharks. Choose a sunny day, water is cold already. Hermanus is where they do the shark diving. It is 1.5 hour drive away from Stellies. Some diving companies offer transport and breakfast. Make you you reserve a spot beforehand.

Swim with the Penguins: In Simon's Town you can see the penguins from the viewing deck and if you walk to the beach nearby you can also swim with them. They are quite fast swimmers I don't think you can catch one.

Spring Break: Namibia, Botswana and Zambia are popular destinations for spring break holiday. Rent a car and be on your way.

Activities: There are so many things you can do or you can just lay under the sun and get tanned as well. EVERYONE goes to gym, sometimes twice a day. There isn't one fat person here. So get your bikini body ready.

Wine tasting is another popular activity. Since there are over 400 wine farms around Stellenbosch, you have so many choice. Some of the best wine farms are: Boschendal, Rust en Vrede, Waterford, Hidden Valley and Clouds Wine Estate. Wine farms have amazing views and they all have different style, I'm sure you can find one that fits you.

On weekends Route 44 is a great idea. They have a food market with delicious food, live music and huge grass area to lay on. If it's the season you can go strawberry picking.
