What to Do in Zurich or Switzerland
I am a person who can't believe that I am in a trip if I do not stay in a place. However, during this trip I have learned that I could have seen Zurich and two other places as well really cheap in a day. One of my friend is doing internship in Germany. Since I am also in Germany we thought why we are not tripping together. I already planned my trip to Zurich so she joined me. I planned to spend three days. My friend found a day trip to Zurich+Rheinfall+Lurenze
Then for the day, I joined them on the way and honestly, it will be much better if I did the same thing. I have seen much more by staying in the city 2 days more and I hiked as well but for my budget I would go for one day trip. So, keep in mind. Tours are not that bad. I used to think they are just wasting time and you do not really see the city but any way you would not be local over there. So, I started be open minded to join tours.
One day is enough for Zurich if you spend the whole day over there because staying in any hostels starts from 40 Euros and more. Top sights are quite close to eat other but if you wanna hike then you may wanna spend one half day more because the view is amazing! Check out the picture below! In addtion to that, you may also join tours which are quiet cheap.

My friend joined tour which goes three sports as I wrote down before and see the pictures of Lurenze and Rheinfall below:
About the Weather
The weather is quite cold over there. So, I strongly recommend you to check out the weather before buyüng tickets. It was rainy and 14 degrees when I got there and it is not fun when you are freezing. So, make sure it is not raining at least!

What to Buy
There is so many pocketknife you can buy for your father or friend. However, if you going back by plane, be careful. You may need to give your luggage to check inz Otherwise, it is all cool. You can buy chocolate or hand made Swiss things. There are so many hand craft souveniors. However, unfortunately they are quite expensive.
Switzerland is not in EU
It may be surprize some of you because Switzerland is in the middle of Europe and not in EU. However, do not worry if you have Schengen VISA, there is nothing to worry about because they have started to accept tourists with Schengen in 2008.

So They are not Using Euro Then
Unfortunately, Switzerland has their own currency and it can be problematic in many cases. For example, if you are out od Swiss Francs, they accept Euro as well but instead of switching from Euro to Swiss Franc. For example, you need to pay 10 Swiss Francs. If you do not ahve that amount of Franc then you can give Euro but in this case, they assume that 1 Euro= 1 Swiss Franc. Instead of 1 Euro= 1.15 Swiss Franc. Additionally, there are not much change office in the city. At least, I did not see much and a person that I met in hostel told me you can change money in train station but it is. They accept card as well but some places may not. So, be careful.

What to Carry with You
It really depends but let me show few topics you may need to concern. If I go again, I would get some Swiss Franc with me. Just in case, You can't change the money.
If there is a probability of rain, an umbrella because it is raining so bad!
Snacks for sure because you may wanna minimize what to eat over there!
I would wear long pants, if I knew it is that cold! So, make sure you have enough things to wear on.
Water bottle because city is full of places you can refill your bottle which is amazing because taste of water is amazing!
I think that is it for now. I hope you will find these information useful!
Enjoy!
