Acceptance and Arrival
If the student’s applica on is successful, we will send out email con rma on and a hardcopy of the acceptance le er, sent via courier to your ins tu on. From there, the following steps must be taken:
Accep ng or declining the o er
The Con rma on of Place (COP) must be returned to us, bearing the student’s original signature. This will then allow us to send out the necessary visa le ers and allow access to the accommoda on applica on (if applicable).
Applying for accommoda on
Students beginning their exchange at the start of the academic year can also apply for University accommoda on. Students studying for the full year are guaranteed University accommoda on, whereas single semester students are not. For an overview of the University’s accommoda on sites, please refer to the following link:

Once the student’s applica on is approved, they can apply at the link below using the 9 digit student number they receive and the email address provided in their applica on.

Due to demand we are unable to guarantee rst choices, but will endeavour to meet needs where appropriate. If a student has a disability which informs their accommoda on choice, it MUST be disclosed. If they do not include this and later request a room change, this will not be possible, again due to the demand for University accommoda on.

Applying for a visa
Once the student has received the visa documenta on issued by ourselves, they can apply for their visa. Visas are e ec ve for the speci ed me period from the date issued, so ap- plica ons must be made at the following mes:
ï‚· Semester 1 entry: mid-August 2016 onwards.
ï‚· Semester 2 entry: mid-December 2017 onwards.
Students studying for a full year exchange must apply for a Tier 4 visa. Students studying for a single semester must apply for a Short-term study visa. Unless the student has Bri sh or EU ci zenship, there are no excep ons to this requirement.

Module registra on
Module registra on is completed a er arrival. The student’s choices as cited on their applica on are taken into considera on, but we are unable to guarantee rst choices. If we are unable to accommodate rst choices, we will suggest suitable replacement.
The date and me of the module registra on session will be provided closer to the date of arrival, along with several other compulsory sessions.
